Beautiful Easter Party
01/04/2010
The Beautiful Easter Party in aid of the Simone Cowland Trust was an extraordinary and momentous event held at the contemporary Great Eastern Dining Room in London. Among the guests were the great the good and the glamorous of the creative industries, from the world of TV, Music, Media and Sport.
Inside the intimate cosmopolitan venue guests sipped on fuchsia SCT daiquiri’s, created specifically for the event (with proceeds going directly to the Simone Cowland Trust).
The venue’s cutting edge interior was sprinkled with pink heart shaped balloons, glitter and disco balls creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.
During the evening we watched a film by the Simone Cowland Trust which informed us about cystic fibrosis and the work the charity has done in helping sufferers. The film featured Patron of the trust Sunderland footballer Michael Turner and patients from the Royal Brompton Hospital who also attended the event.
Throughout the evening guests enjoyed retro party sweets whilst lounging in the funky VIP suites. Through the sparkling beaded curtains which cascaded from floor to ceiling, we danced away to upfront themed music courtesy of a top London DJ and a throw back to the 80’s with a tribute to the late, great Michael Jackson.
The Beautiful Raffle was the most anticipated spectacle of the night with incredible prizes to be won. The prizes consisted of 2 tickets to New York, a Nintendo Wii plus games and a shopping spree at Harrods. Guests were also treated to luxury Easter eggs which went down a treat.
The party was a huge success and the funds raised will go towards helping patients at the Royal Brompton Hospital, Foulis ward. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all and we would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who made a donation and supported The Simone Cowland Trust.
